We paint the front door correctly

The front door is the first impression of the entire apartment as a whole, for this reason it should be not only strong and reliable, but also beautiful. If there is no way to put a new door, you can insulate the iron front door or paint the old one – it is easy to do it, and the design depends only on the imagination of the owner of the living area. Even if there is no experience in paintwork, then modern materials and equipment solve this problem, and the process of painting turns into pleasure. At the same time, a well -chosen coating both performs a decorative function, and door protection from moisture, corrosion, mechanical exposure.

In order for the paint on the wooden door to lay down evenly and stays for a long time, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work. It is necessary to remove all the accessories, lock and remove all the old paint. This can be done both with sandpaper and solvent depending on the door material. As an option, you can use the compositions that cause cracking and exfoliation of paint. Further, the door is cleaned of dust and scales of paint and covered with an oil primer – the door must be left before drying out. After that you can paint.

As a tool for staining, you can use a spray gun or a brush. The use of a spray gun significantly reduces the time of time, but with the help of a brush, you can carefully apply the paint.

To gently apply a layer of paint, first the phylenks are stained, and only after that – platbands and ends. If the texture is visible on the surface of the door, then you need to paint in its direction – this will avoid large subtexts.

As for the metal door, its coloring begins with the degree of surface degrees. We remove oil spots with a solvent or alcohol composition, you also need to clean the spots of the old paint, corrosion and wash off the dust. The new door must be processed in the same way, since it is supplied in the traces of the factory lubricant that protects the metal from corrosion.

Metal painting should be oil. As an option, you can use automotive enamel or powder sprayers that have maximum resistance to external exposure. Instead of paint, you can use alkaline or alcohol varnish – this allows you to ennoble the door leaf, preserving the previous color, or give the metal a unique shade. The varnish is applied in four layers, the intervals between the application of the layers are about 40 minutes.
