The classic model of a level with a liquid scale is suitable only for small tasks. For example, it can be used to easily check the slope of a tabletop or socket.
The reason is, firstly, the size: the length of even the largest bubble level does not exceed a couple of meters. Secondly, the error – on average, it is 1 mm per 2 meters, and for cheap models it is even more.
Therefore, if you periodically have to work with large areas, you should think about purchasing a laser level. Its price is several times higher. But the error in the readings seems quite insignificant – only 0.1 mm per 2 meters. And it allows you to cope with the work much faster. For example, when installing a stretch ceiling, you can immediately build a laser line along the entire length of the wall and make marks in just 5-10 minutes. With a bubble level, this will take more than an hour.
