DIY forged railing

Production of forged railing

Before proceeding to forging, it is necessary to draw a sketch of the railing, which will emphasize all the advantages of the interior without violating it. To do this, it is better to find an area on which you can draw a sketch with a scale of 1: 1. When you draw a pattern, it will be much easier for you to measure all the curls in the figure using a rope. After you froze, it’s time to start cutting the profile, while do not forget to cut off several cm more to avoid unwanted errors.

It is also necessary to do with all the other segments, each of which is somehow involved in your sketch. At the next stage, it is necessary to begin to give them the appropriate form.

To give the profile of the form, you will have to use two main tools – a vice and a hammer. Having fixed the profile in the vice, using the gas key you can bend it according to the planned sketch. At this stage, it is necessary to stock up on patience, because the work is quite long. After you were able to take shape to all profiles, it is necessary to attach them to the sketch in order to check their correspondence.

The next stage is the welding of all connections. If you have the experience of welding, then you can easily do it, if there is no such experience, then you can ask for help from the side. After the welding is completed, it is important to clean all welding seams using a grinder and a circle.

The final stage will be a primer and painting the railing with a spray gun, or just a brush. The primer is necessary in order to hide small irregularities, and will also allow you to better lie down.
