Build a house with our own hands.

Finally, your main dream came true and you acquired a land plot on which you want to build a cottage and a country house, plant trees, build a household, create a veranda for relaxation and equip a place for parking your car.

Your very first task will be to prepare a site for construction. First, it is necessary to decide which landscape you have on the territory, what type of soil and soil, at what distance are groundwater from the surface located. It will depend on this whether it is necessary to level the site, whether it is necessary to build a drainage system, decide what should be the foundation for the house, whether it is worth digging a well for water or trying to drill a well.

The next important step on the way of building a house is the drawing of the site on paper. In the absence of a finished project, you can independently perform a drawing. Choose a cottage village in the suburbs.

The most important thing in the drawing lies in the schematic designation of the boundaries of the site, objects that are planned to be built on it, determining the side of the world, the distance between the buildings and the location of various technical structures of storm sewage, the drainage system. As a rule, in the village of cottage type or in a horticultural partnership there is already its own general development plan, where the location of roads, houses, and general design buildings are noted. It also contains the norms of the development of plots when taking into account all technical, fire and sanitary standards.

Therefore, in order to avoid inconsistency with these norms when planning a site, it is necessary to be guided by the following norms:

– It is necessary to build a house at a distance of at least 4.5 m from the road and at least 3 m from the boundary of the road section;

– The distance from your house to the nearest buildings should not be less than 6 m;

– From the house being built to the bathhouse, toilet and any other outbuildings there should be a distance of at least 7 meters;

– Buildings on your site should not shade neighboring sites.

After the drawing was made in the proper way, you can proceed to practice. Since, unfortunately, perfectly even areas are practically not found, it becomes necessary to align the territory for the construction of the house, determine the depth of the location of groundwater and the type of soil. If the site is in the lowland, then before you start the construction of buildings, it is necessary to build a drainage system.

With the proximity of groundwater or soil with a large layer of clay, additional protection of the foundation from destruction and dampness will be required. In addition, the choice of building materials for your future home will also depend on the type of soil.

It is important to solve the issue of water supply even before the start of construction, since the water will be required during the construction of the house. The well will cost much cheaper than the well. But, if you choose a well, you can reduce your expenses by three quarters, if you agree with the owners of neighboring plots and cut through the four wells. But where is it worth starting construction?

Often the owners of the site begin to immediately build a house, however, there are many questions on the topic: where to store all building materials, hide from the rain or spend the night? How to connect the necessary power tools? In order to resolve all these issues, you should first build all outbuildings, such as the toilet and shed and prepare a place for all building materials. If the power supply line passes near your site, then you will need to set the counter and conclude an agreement on connecting electricity to your area. In the absence of such an opportunity, you can rent a generator. And only after carrying out all the preparatory work, it will be possible to start building your home.
