Bath construction.

Ban construction technology.

From ancient times, people were aware of the unique properties of a real bathhouse. Several dozen centuries have passed since the construction of the first Kupalan. But to overestimate the effect of water procedures, steam and a fragrant broom on the body is simply impossible.

The construction of wooden baths in the Moscow region today can afford everyone who wants it if he has a small plot of land. It would seem that it’s easier – I bought the necessary building material and took up construction. However, before starting the construction of a wooden bath, it is necessary to carefully study the properties of the forest (boards and lines) so as not to spend additional money and nerves in the future, when repairs are inevitably required. Due to the specificity of the building, many make serious mistakes that could have been avoided at the preliminary stage if you know about them.

The traditional Russian bath is erected from natural wood, namely from rounded logs. For the walls themselves, the most suitable rocks are spruce and pine. Coniferous trees in structure are strong and have resistance to various weather conditions. The optimal diameter of logs should be 20-25 centimeters. The larger size is inconvenient when installing walls, and the smaller will lead to the loss of the necessary heat, which differs a solid bathhouse.

After the construction, the so -called box, the no less important stage begins – the decoration of the interior, which has its own features. For the Russian bath, experts advise using poplar or aspen, and in the sauna it is possible to finish with cedar or linden. These breeds of trees are resistant to moisture, do not break down, withstand the effects of high temperatures, do not heat up and do not emit the resin.

For flooring, it is strictly not recommended to use tiles (it is very hot). The main requirement is that the material is not slippery in order to exclude cases of injury.

The next stage is the selection of the necessary equipment presented on the market in a huge variety. A stove or a heater plays a special role, therefore, its acquisition should be treated with maximum attention. It is best to consult with a specialist or with a happy owner of your own steam room.

Russian wooden bath has a fundamental difference from analogues: it does not require special ventilation. In order for the premises to dry and the moisture evaporates, only a small hole under the ceiling is enough. But, in the case when a frequent visit to a bathhouse or long friendly gatherings is planned, it is best to mount a ventilation system with a minimum air turnover of 10-20 cubic meters per hour.

To illuminate the room, it is necessary to use not very bright devices with special protection against moisture or make a small window with a size of 60×79 centimeters to avoid large losses of the same heat.
