Unconventional, bright, a little eccentric and very, very personal – this is the only way to characterize the boho style. After all, it is characterized by everything and nothing at the same time.
Thus, an antique chest of drawers and a garden chair, Moroccan prints and laconic gray color, rare antique figurines and consumer goods bought at the nearest flea market can peacefully coexist in it. At the same time, none of these things are mandatory. You create an individual design of the bedroom interior in the boho style with your own hands, choosing only what you really like. And we will try to help you with recommendations and examples with photos.
Finishing materials
Boho is one of the brightest, boldest and most “colorful” styles. It is characterized by the use of a large number of textiles and souvenirs, motley and poorly combined things. Therefore, it is better to show restraint in the decoration and choose the most canonical options.
Floor
Boho chic originates from the nomadic peoples who traveled around Europe in the 15th-16th centuries. At that time, laminate did not exist yet. Therefore, if you are chasing an authentic interior, it is best to choose the following materials as a floor covering.
Parquet board. It is better to use oil as a coating – it makes the surface silky-matte and tactilely pleasant, which is fully consistent with the concept of the style.
Piece parquet. When choosing it, it is also better to refuse polish and prefer a matte finish, emphasizing the atmosphere of relaxation and bliss.
Grooved board. The floor from them is assembled, as in an ordinary country house, with the only difference that the paint for it is not “floor”, but light shades or simply covered with varnish.
