We carry out the prevention of floor boilers from cast iron.
Cast iron boilers in our country have long been in great demand among the population. Only they can give quite a lot of heat even with minimal gas pressure. And in terms of the life of operation, they have no equal, since they can serve unlimitedly for 30-40 years! True, such a period is relevant for use in the private sector. This is when the full closed system is used (there is no access of free oxygen) and soft water.
But even in the presence of these factors, any floor boiler requires regular prevention, which will allow maintaining the highest level of efficiency in the system.
The walls of the boiler and a heat exchanger, made either from stainless steel or cast iron, are traditionally released here. But if the walls and heat exchanger are regularly cleaned of the accumulated soot, then the efficiency of the entire gas boiler will again be at a decent level. For this, either an emergency knife or ordinary brush is used, which has a metal bristle. Before cleaning, it is recommended to lay down the boiler newspaper. This will allow you to clean the boiler from the accumulated soot much faster.
But everything is complicated if the heat exchanger is clogged from the inside “thanks”. Here you will have to pay attention to those compounds that can dissolve and remove the scale. They are freely sold in household or car shops. It is enough to dilute them in the water of the household heating boiler, pour them into the heating system and turn on the gas boiler in heating. After a certain period of time, as a rule, no more than 30-40 minutes, the solution merges and a new. It will be extremely desirable if it is poured into the system softened water. To do this, it will be possible to use either distilled water (the most expensive option), or buy a reverse osmosis filter, which will be able to give out clean water molecules from the excess. Of course, both options imply high financial costs. But this will be observed at the beginning. But if soft water is constantly circulating in the entire heating system, then such a problem as the appearance of scale on the heat exchanger will not be observed.
Modern types of floor boilers are equipped with circulation pumps with magnetic couplings, which are valuable that they can pump a significant amount of coolant even in cases where natural gas pressure drops to low indicators (below 6 MBAR). And if you are engaged in the prevention of such pumps in time (the winding and timely work of the magnetic coupling are checked), then the floor boiler will constantly develop its high rated power even in severe frosts.
