Construction level

This type of construction tool is also called waterpasis. It is a special measuring device used in construction to accurately determine the angles of deviation of various surfaces from horizontal or vertical. Also, with its help, you can measure additional angles of deviations of one surface relative to the other using special side sensors installed at the construction level.

The simplest Waterpas is a small rectangular beam with a certain number of special windows located in strictly designated places. Through these windows, you can observe the sensors of the position position. Such a sensor is constructively a small glass tube, which is filled with a specific liquid and is sealed from two ends. The liquid used for such indicators is not amenable to freezing and has very small temperature coefficients of expansion. A prerequisite for such a sensor is the presence of a small air bubble in it, which serves as the main pointer.

Most often, such tools are produced on a metal or plastic basis. The case itself is usually performed hollow, to generally facilitate the building level. But the same feature also allows you to quite simply damage Waterpas or bring down its settings. Especially if you take into account some sufficiently severe building conditions. Therefore, it is recommended to carefully monitor this type of tool and protect it from possible blows and other damage.

The construction level can differ significantly in its length. This parameter depends on what volumes to measure this tool is used. Often, the hull of the waterpasis is marked according to the type of ruler, which makes it more universal and practical.
