Wooden windows

Wooden windows are made either from a solid beam of 5 by 7 cm, or from glued, usually a three -layer timber. For the production of window, and door blocks, only conifers are used, exclusively pine. It is preferable, of course, to install window blocks from a solid array of wood. Subject to technological requirements and proper processing of the material, such a window will last at least thirty years. But recently, they mainly produce window blocks mainly from glued timber. Such a beam is made as follows. All knots, overlaps and rot are cut out of wood, then pieces without these defects are shattered with microchips. The resulting bars glue among themselves.

Most often, the beam is made three -layer, but there are also windows with boxes of two -layer timber. The window block itself consists of a box made of glued timber and double -glazed window. Double -glazed windows are used both single -chamber and multi -chamber. I must say, window blocks from glued beams do not withstand seasonal temperature changes and humidity. They are pasted. And the repair of apartments, as you yourself understand, requires additional expenses. Therefore, in our opinion, windows from the whole beam are getting better and more reliable.
