Pendant lights: advantages and selection tips

Pendant lights are devices consisting of a fairly long suspension, a lampshade, a socket, a lamp and a system for connecting to the electrical network. Do not confuse them with chandeliers, since the products have a completely different design. Such models are perfect for local lighting in the bedroom.

Like all lighting fixtures, pendant lamps have their pros and cons. Let’s start with the disadvantage – such products are not suitable for rooms with low ceilings. This is where the cons end, but there are many advantages.

Pendant lights are chosen because they:

  1. Are suitable for local lighting of a particular area, for example, a bedside area.
  2. Practically do not create shadows.
  3. Fit into almost any interior style.
  4. Create a romantic, cozy atmosphere.
  5. Provide fairly bright lighting.
  6. Available in a huge variety of shapes and designs.

Such lamps look equally good both above the bedside tables in the bedroom and in the center of the ceiling. You can choose models that will become an accent of the interior and at the same time will not distract attention from the main decor.
