Steel pipes

Among the whole variety of types of metal rolling, one of the most popular are pipes. This is not surprising, since it is with the help of steel pipes that gas supply, water supply, and heating in residential buildings are ensured. In addition, it is with the help of pipes that transportation is ensured over long distances of natural gas, oil or oil products. This type of metal rolling is widely used in engineering for the production of various equipment and products (for example, profile electric welding pipes are very widely used for the manufacture of supporting equipment).

However, steel pipes are also required by modern industry, which ensured the production of a wide list of products in large volumes. This is not only about the size of the pipe and the thickness of their walls, which determine the maximum number of substances passing through them, but also by the method of manufacturing.

So, for example, by the method of its production, the pipe can be divided into electric welding and seamless. The advantage of the former is a lower cost, but the presence of a weld does not allow them to be used in pipelines operating under high pressure. In the latter case, a more optimal option is the use of steel seamless pipes, which withstand significantly higher pressure due to the lack of a weak place in the form of a weld. In addition, electric welding pipes have a fairly narrow nomenclature, which does not allow you to close all the needs for pipe products with their help (this is due to the fact that it is far from always possible to provide high -quality welgon throughout the thickness of the wall).

Steel labs differ among themselves and the brand of steel from which they are made, which also greatly affects the cost of metal rolling. So, for example, for most structural purposes, 20 pipes will be quite enough, but for the transportation of water and various aggressive media, stainless steel pipes should already be used, which will prevent water pollution with iron salts and extend the life of the pipeline. In addition, there are pipes from special alloys that allow the use of metal rolling in special equipment that operates under high temperature or other difficult conditions (the so -called boiler pipes).
