Light concrete.

Based on brick fighting, slag, sawdust, straw and other materials with the addition of astringents, such as cement, lime, clay or gypsum, light concrete are performed, which are used in the construction of walls for a low -rise building.

Since ancient times, people have been used by coal slags for construction, mixing slag from fuel with a binder and receiving slag concrete. Such material for walls is better than brick, since it is more effective in heat -protective qualities and is much cheaper. In the walls, such material serves for a long time if it is protected from moisture plaster. You will be interested in materials for fences.

Typically, slags obtained from coal combustion are used for slag concrete. They are available, and slag concrete of better quality and strength is obtained from the combustion of anthracite, it is not suitable from brown coal, since there are many impurities in it. In order for cinder blocks to get better slag, you need to take at least a year in the open air.

With large slag, the material is light, but weak, and with small, more durable.

The astringent for slag concrete is cement with the addition of lime or clay, which give concrete plasticity. Slag concrete can be done manually and it is done, like ordinary concrete. First, the cement of the slag and sand are stirred in dry form, then slant lime or wet clay and water are added. Everything is mixed well and laid out in forms.
